Kyla Kiester - Team Member: Last week we received our travel itineraries from Rotary International and secured our visas….this is starting to feel very real!
We leave for Australia on the afternoon of Wednesday February 24th, and will arrive in Melbourne on the morning of Friday February 26th. My understanding is they are about 18 hours ahead of us, so we’ll lose a day on the way down, but gain it back on the trip home.
After traveling from Des Moines to Chicago and then Chicago to Los Angeles, we’ll hop on a 15.5 hour flight from LA to Melbourne. Better pack a couple good books!!
